Northcott’s Sexuality & Relationship Education (SRE) Service supports people with disability aged 16+ to build safe, satisfying relationships and sexual wellbeing. We offer psychosexual therapy and one-to-one counselling, inclusive workshops, and practical support to access safe, lawful and non-judgemental sexual experiences. Our registered Counsellors are experienced in disability and provide LGBTQIA+-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care, tailored to all communication needs (including Easy Read, visuals and AAC). We can help with: consent and boundaries; dating and friendships; communication and intimacy; gender identity and sexual orientation; sexual health and safer sex; online safety and pornography; body image and puberty; and sexual function concerns (e.g. desire, arousal, pain, erection/ejaculation and the impact of medication or mobility). We also collaborate with families, support workers and multidisciplinary teams to provide assessment, training and education that safeguard rights and promote dignity.
