furries are people who really enjoy and are interested in animals with human-like characteristics

furries often have their own fursonas, which are customised and unique animals that represent themselves

a fursona can be turned into reality by making or comissioning a fur suit! this is a life size costume made out of plush material that transforms a person into their fursona

as a community, furries are grounded in connection, belonging, and creativity - it's not all about sex!

many furries find a new level of confidence and self esteem that comes from being in a community that promotes acceptance and authenticity

(Roberts, Plante, Gerbasi & Reysen, 2015).
